The decision to see Cristiano Ronaldon and Lionel Messin at the quarterfinal matches of the Champions League on television proved wrong for some policemen from Kenya who stole their guns from several thieves at the police station.
The incident occurred Tuesday night. Some police officers had closed the police station in KamorWon, northern Kenya, and went out to look for a television, Reuters reports.
While they were watching two matches with Manchester United vs. Barcelona and Juventu against Ajax on a television stand in a shopping mall, thieves entered the police station, where they took three guns and some of these things.
When police officials realized what had happened, they tried to find the robbers and return the stolen weapons, but this attempt was unsuccessful.
It is not yet known whether they were punished for what happened.
European football, particularly England's Premierliga, is famous in Kenya and other African countries.
That night, Juventus was shocked by Ayax and eliminated by the Champions League, while Barcelona managed easily to defeat Manchester United and secured a country within the semifinals of the Champions League.
