A day after the first election round, the two candidates who will compete in the second round have focused on hunting Blerim Reka's votes.
Power candidate Stevo Pendarovski has launched the campaign today, calling on Albanian voters to support him in the second round in order not to win, as he says, the option of blocking Euro-Atlantic processes.
Blerim Reka's “statement last night pleased me, which said each of his voters are individuals with the right to decide on their own and vote as they wish. I think we all need to protect this approach”, said Stevo Pendarovski, candidate for president.
The Macedonian opposition also targets Albanian opposition votes. According to Igor Yanushev, all citizens must join the Gordana Silanovska concept.
“We call on all citizens by not sharing them on any possible basis. We appeal to all political parties, organisations, associations and physical persons”, VMRO-DPMNE Secretary-General Igor Yanushev stressed.
The DUI, which was accused of boycotting the election process, does not accept that. According to the chief of the party's election staff, Izet Mexhit says the difference between Pendarovski and Siljanovska did so, ensuring that the same will be done in the second round.
“DUI has supported Pendarovski, and exactly DUI votes are the reason why Pendarovski led as candidate at the republican level. It is now very clear that the Alliance and Mr. Reka have come up with candidacy in this election only to help Siljanovska and help. V MRO-DPMNE returns to scene”, confirmed Izet Mexhidi, chief of the election staff, DUI.
According to Mexhiit, DUI has not lost its legitimacy in Albanians, as according to him, presidential elections are not relevant to measure that. He adds that in Debar it witnessed what political option the legitimacy of Albanians enjoys. The Alliance for Albanians, the Besa Movement and candidate Blerim Reka since their first appearance after the election process has ended clarified that they are not intended to instruct or order the voter body for whom to vote, denying any possible deal with which they wish. /Alsat-M/
