Ole Gunnar Solsquier's players were very aware that the chances were small, as they lost their first score of 1-0 at Old Tuffford a week ago but they also knew that a Paris-style miracle Saint Germain was not out of the question.
But now there's been the intriguing view showing that Solsquier tried to mix things in the second half by changing his formation.
Solscarier handed Rasford a hand-written tactical note, and then passed the information to his friends, he broadcast Periscope.

However, the 21-year-old assailant threw him out of Barcelona's detention zone, which, it turned out, was a bad place to reject him.
Barcelona's goalie Marc-Ander Ser Stegen couldn't resist the temptation to read the note and took it to see what he wrote.

But what did the note have about it?
Well, it shows that Solskjaer wanted his players in a 4-4-2 formation, instead of 4-3-1-2 with which he started the match.
Although the quality of the video is not good, the note is understood to say: Vic (Victor Lindeloff), Chris (Chris Smalling), Jones (Phil Jones), Ash (Ashley Young); Jesse (Jesse Lingard), Scott (Scott McTominay), Fred, Paul (Paul Pogba); Rashi (Markus Rasford), Anthony (Anthony Martyr).
Rasford in future matches should be more careful about eliminating information.
Unfortunately for Solsquier, his tactical shift failed to have any effect, as Barca reserved their place in the semifinals of the Champions League with a comfortable victory./Periscopi
