The National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo has said that there are no measles epidemics in Kosovo and that the situation is under control.
According to an IKSHPK report, Kosovo is among the 42 countries that have successfully interrupted the dynamic spread of fruit, since for 15 years there have been no measles in Kosovo, thanks to the high degree of anti-fruit vaccine and rubella to 95 percent, with what has been possible to reduce the intensity of the measles epidemic that emerged in the second half of December 2017, thus providing an effective response to the epidemic.
“With a general degree of inmigulation of children in Kosovo over 95 per cent that is realised under the Expanded Information Programme (PZI), this programme is considered one of the most successful stories of Kosovo health, which makes Kosovo listed among the most successful states in the world in terms of immunization”, says the report.
According to the announcement, the Enlargement Programme (PZI) is high priority from the Health Ministry. It stresses that to reduce the high rate of disease and mortality, the main objective of The PSIA is achieving the high degree of regular inoculation involvement, especially of children of the age group 0-12 months.
“We are successfully implementing even special programmes of inclusion of children of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities, and Serbs so that no child will be left without vaccine. Thanks to them PSIA, in Kosovo today there are no paralysis of children, there are no divisions from 1981, as well as the programme for the elimination of measles and control of the Congenial rubola. Immunisation is one of the most effective public health interventions and has the potential to reduce children's mortality and promote immunization as free, effective intervention and with very good results in functioning and sustainable development”, the IKSHPK further says.
According to ICHPK, among the vaccine-preventable diseases that have not marked this year's epidemic is measles. According to the Expanded Vaccination Programme, anti-Messination with the MMR vaccine is binding on the Law and subject to all children aged 12 months and 6 years with a dose of 0.5ml.
If the child is not vaccinated in the given period of time, the parent is obliged to complete the child's vaccine status as soon as possible. Disfellowshipping is only for children who, for whatever reason, have specific counterinoculation. The fruit disease is characterized by high levels of infectiousness, and the spread within the assigned territory is rapid. The inter-state risk of importing disease from neighbouring countries and European countries is permanent as the disease spreads with air. But given the excellent inoculation coverage there is no danger of explosion in size of”, the institute suggests.
In the notice of the IKSHPK, it is stressed that in recent years, according to the World Health Organization, the measles have been <x0-born” in Europe, where the number of people infected since 2007 has tripled because they have not been vaccinated properly. In many European countries, they are registered sick and dead from Fruth (Ukraina, Serbia, France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Germany, Spain). In the first quarter of this year, the number of measles in the world is 300% higher than last year. The World Health Organization reports increasing the rate of measurable disease in the Europe region and the Balkans, including Macedonia, which has today declared an epidemic.
As for Kosovo, I The KSHPK points out that the epidemiological situation is under full control and in permanent surveillance. I The KSHPK has appealed to citizens who have vaccinated children against measles to report immediately to major medical centers.
“Attactly in the labs of the National Institute have isolated 7 sporadic cases of measles. All those children properly vaccinated won't get sick of measles! So we appeal to all parents who, for various reasons, have not vaccinated their children against measles, but also against other pre-venable diseases to be immediately reported to the main Centres of Family Medicine in the respective municipalities to protect their children's health. The National Institute in support of the Health Ministry has provided sufficient doses of vaccines against measles and other pre-vevenable diseases and is implementing preventative and controlling”, the appeal said.
Finally I The KSHPK has said it is trying to find all the children of communities to vaccinate against measles and against diseases preventable vaccines, while adding that the largest number of children in the Roma community -- Ashkali, Egyptian -- are registered with different identities in Kosovo and other identities when they move to neighbouring countries.
