The organiser of the Minsk 2019 European Games has confirmed today to the Kosovo Olympic Committee the invitation for karateist Alvin Karaqi, who will present Kosovo in the 21-30 June competitions held in Minsk, Belarus.
Karaqi has been invited on the basis of universality criteria, which is extended to a contestant of each category in karate.
Karaqi has met them in the category of up to 84kg, such as the Kosovo racer with the best current ranking in the International Karate Federation.

The impact on the karate invitation has also had the non-participation of our karate people at the Novi Sad 2018 European Championships, the cause of the Serbian state's failure.
On the basis of universality, invitations to the KOK address have come weeks ago for boxer Donjet Sadiku and table tennis player Fatih Karabanjaku.
In addition to the three invitations, the KOK is awaiting confirmation of even the Judists, who are expected to qualify with five rates.
Just in Judo, Kosovo numbers a bronze medal with Nora Gjakova at the first European Games, Baku 2015. Minsk 2019 is the second European Games, in which Kosovo is also targeting the gold medal.
