LDK MP, Armend Zemaj, has said MPs in the assembly have consistently called for workers to be treated dignifiedly, especially those in the private sector, taking on services they do in the public sector, Klan Kosova reports.
The minimum wage issue has been a topic of discussion, and the basic element that has exacerbated the situation has been increasing government salaries. Everything has been ignored by this and not well-reasoned, which sparked debates even within the political dictatorships of the Kosovo government”.
According to Zemaj, one of the ministers set his own minimum wage, while the finance minister said it is impossible.
The ongoing “Deputies have demanded that citizens be treated with dignity, especially those in the private sector, taking over services they make for public service. Imagine how a worker feels when someone pays 5,000 euros while the minimum wage is 130 euros, while in the family basket it takes 150 euros to live simple”.
And when we meet people who work in the public sector, their salaries don't even reach as much as 170 euros, they keep families with them. This theme should have a dignified approach, not only of expressions and mechanisms initiated in something populist, not of war within government dictatorships, but of a solution to maintaining political stability. This distinction between the average public and private sector wage should be harmonised against the lives of citizens”.
