Hand over drug “Surfactant” in the Neonatology Clinic, at QKUK

Infants experiencing respiratory problems lack a lack of liquefiment within the lungs, and babies don't usually start producing surfactants until a few weeks after birth. Without sufficient quantity of the surprise comes up to the lung collapse and so babies born preheading cannot breathe. Therefore, Surfactant is essential to the prevention and treatment of the RDS (Respiratory Division Syndrome) and reduces the mortality rate of babies caused by the RDS. Over the past 10 years, Surfactants' donations have saved the lives of about 2,000 precohes-born and low-weight babies in Kosovo.
Thanks to successful co-operation with the international organisation Americas, we are providing the Neonatology Clinic with life-saving medicine for the second time now to cover needs through 2019.
