A total of 1,126 accounts were removed on Facebook and Instagram, a social network used by 2.3 billion people worldwide.
Facebook has removed several hundred false accounts in Pakistan designed to manipulate users, says the Facebook statement.
Most of these accounts counted the Pakistani army or were dealt with by Kashmir, an area because of which Pakistan and India had been at war.
The social network has abolished 687 false accounts in India, linked to an opposition party, ten days before parliamentary elections in that country.
Facebook is trying to improve the image after much controversy and criticism in recent months.
