Turkey's Defence Minister Hulus Akar said terrorist organisations, including FETO facilities, operate in northern Macedonia.
He says the Turkish state will come to the aid of northern Macedonia, even within the framework of the NATO Alliance, to try to eliminate the last terrorist, as said, led by Fetullah Gylen.
Akar, said authorities in Skopje have given them the names of terrorists and during these days expect to take action.
We know that there are specific structures of the FETO terrorist organisation. In this context many times we have had co-operation between the two countries' institutions. Now we have new moments that we face and I hope that these days will take concrete measures against these terrorists. We also have concrete names of some of the mains of these structures, which we have exchanged with security authorities in northern Macedonia”, said Hulus Akar.
Commenting on her Turkish counterpart's statement that the FETO structures influence the reports between the two countries, Northern Macedonia Defence Minister Radmila Sekerinska said this issue will not prevent the ratification process of the protocol by Turkey for full membership of Northern Macedonia in NATO, the Alsat-M broadcast.
“The government of the RMV and the prime minister with our gestures and presence at certain events prove that they value Turkey's support and show that this kind of solidarity and support we have received, we are willing to return it. For this reason I do not expect the ratification of our NATO membership protocol” to be jeopardised, Sekerinska said.
