In a media report they have also praised the Central Election Commission (KQZ) for quick action in confirming PZAP's decision and proceeding with activities related to extraordinary elections in the north.
According to the American Embassy, a non-party and complete CEC with members is central to effective regulation and monitoring of elections, which are the foundation element of Kosovo democracy.
“After elections for mayors, the winning candidates must fulfil their mandates by working within Kosovo institutions on behalf of their voters”, the report said further.
