Authorities in Kosovo and in Serbia have voiced themselves Thursday against a resolution based on “durability”, which is speculated could be proposed to the parties at the Berlin Summit, scheduled to be held at the end of the month.
Kosovo's dialogue with Serbia will be the main topic of the summit, which for the hostess German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron, writes today Koha Ditore.
Based on reporting more media, officials will propose that the final solution focus on recognising Kosovo's sovereignty, but also that Serbia is recognised by some kind of sovereignty over Kosovo Serbs and separately over Orthodox churches.
Both, Merkel and Makron, are against resolution that “corrects” borders, an option that has not been rejected in Brussels and even in Washington.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who has been invited to attend the summit, has not denied that a proposal about “double-sovereignity” could appear in Berlin.
