Just days before the devastating attacks, one of Povlsen's children, Alma, shared a holiday with her sister Astrid, Agnes, and Alfred, near a swimming pool. It is not yet known which of the four children has survived.
The billionaire is the owner of the ASOS clothing firm and the largest private land owner in Scotland.
The death toll in Sri Lanka has increased to 290 after a wave of explosions hit churches and luxury hotels throughout the country on Sunday.
About 500 people are injured and dozens of foreigners are among the dead./Periscopi
