Many women have had to decide between career and family, often giving up the first one to care for the latter. However, there are circumstances under which choice is mandatory and cannot be done without work when, for example, a salary is not enough or the other parent does not exist. We hesitate to leave the house every day at the expense of not being a good mother, but according to research the effects on raising children are huge, but nothing is negative.
The survey conducted by American and English scholars focused on a group of 100,000 men and women from 29 different countries. The purpose was to determine the consequences for the development of descendants with whom both mother and father worked. The results showed that working women's children had better professional positions, better paying conditions, and a higher percentage of co-ordination or management role.
As for the incident of male labor, data did not reveal any particular difference. In essence, in working - mother families, children became more autonomous and independent, taking on responsibility and greater involvement in the management of daily household chores. This “train” allowed it to grow mature and have clear ideas when they grew up.
According to the survey, the frustration of many mothers not being able to take better care of their children would be unjustified, since the benefits for their lives are certainly greater than possible shortcomings. This does not mean that we should always prefer a career, but the ideal is a fair balance without much sacrifice. Beyond the measures imposed by individual institutions or companies, the issue is individual, so the choice should be offered to those who want to work both in office and in private life.
The key to all is flexibility of uses, which allow a mother to be present in the lives of children, giving them quantity and quality of time. In general, the middle road is the most suitable solution, ensuring that women have adequate objects, facilities, and resources to support the role of a professional and mother.
