Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has spoken after the first meeting at the opening of the Berlin Summit, says that it has been discussed the latest circumstances regarding realisations between Kosovo and Serbia, which writes Thaci they are at the lowest level of”.
He writes in FBR:
At the opening of the Berlin Summit, I talked about regional co-operation and reconciliation. The situation and relations are low, so under such circumstances many good initiatives from the Berlin Process have remained unfulfilled. This bad situation cannot be overcome by mere claims and abstract promises. Bold decisions are needed by the countries of the region, which will not happen as long as there are no bold and strategic decisions by the European Union and member states. Even reconciliation will be impossible as long as Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina do not recognise Kosovo's independence. Germany and France are able to take leadership for these bold decisions. But one of the first decisions the European Union would have to make is visa liberalisation for our citizens. Kosovo has unjustly remained the most isolated country in Europe. Kosovo citizens are the most pro-European people in the region and it is very unfair to continue being discriminated against! HTH
