Following the congratulations on successful agreement between Greece and Northern Macedonia over the name dispute, calling it a prominent example of the successful resolution of conflicts.
In the draft provided by Klan Kosova, the importance of a final legal agreement for the full normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is stressed for stability in the region.
“Such an agreement is the key to the relevant European roads of Serbia and Kosovo. They agreed that any such agreement should be comprehensive, politically stable and contribute to regional stability”, the report said.
Serbia and Kosovo agreed to speed up efforts to implement existing agreements and to re-age constructively in the normalisation dialogue with the EU's ease, in order to reach a comprehensive and final agreement. Participants stressed the importance of a comprehensive and transparent negotiating process, which should be accompanied by confidence building efforts. Participants agreed to intensify their efforts to create a regional economic zone in line with the Sofia Summit 2017 declaration and the Summit Chairman of the 2018 Western Balkans in London”.
All participants reaffirmed their commitment to co-operate under the so-called Berlin Process. Free trade, co-operation in security issues, youth exchanges and reconciliation constitute the main pillars of the process. They reaffirmed support for the Regional Co-operation Office for Youth (RYCO). They hope for the upcoming summit in Poznan, Poland”.
