According to a 20-year study conducted in France, multiple wrinkles in the forehead can be like a sign of potential problems, such as heart disease or stroke. Those with a lot of attractive facial wrinkles may be 10 times more likely to die of a cardiovascular disease, writes study author Yolande Esquirol, associate professor at “Centre Hospitalire Universittaire de Touche”.
The real reason for this relationship is not known, yet one theory is that it may have to do with hardening the arteries in the body because of the formation of the bacterial plaque. Since blood vessels on the forehead are very small, they may be more sensitive to the formation of this bacterial tablet. The study notes that wrinkles are not yet a good method for diagnosing cardiovascular diseases compared to current methods of controlling blood pressure and lipids and glucose levels in the blood. During the study, which has lasted for two decades, 3200 people's health records were analyzed. The study was presented at the European Conference of Cardiology in Munich. / PLACE
