After hearing that his wife is dead and that his children, nine-year-old Yusuf and Zahra five, are being held by jihadists, Bashir travelled to Iraq in hopes he could cross the border in Syria and save the children.
My little Zahra, they're my own life. What I remember is how he ran, how he played with Legos. While Zahra, she was quiet, quiet. And what I remember, is her beautiful smile”, so it reminds him of his children Bashir Sikder, who are already left in the hands of ISIS.
In 2015, Sikder went on a pilgrimage to Mecca. From there, his wife Rasida took her two children, her son at the time of five years, and her nine - month - old daughter, and went to Syria to join I SIS.
In January of this year, Rashid was killed in an attack, while the children were left with serious injuries.
The 37-year-old father has already travelled to Iraq, hoping to make it into Syria and pick up his children.
