At the meeting, as Belgrade's newspaper “blic” reports, Vulin has stressed the US contribution to KFOR and has demonstrated disagreement in order to reduce the number of KFOR soldiers, stressing that this would affect the security of the non-Albanian population in Kosovo.
He has also cited his concern, as he has said, the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces into the Armed Forces, which, according to him, is a serious violation of all available agreements and could have a negative impact on regional stability.
Volin, as well as Serbian political leaders, has reiterated Resolution 1244, under which KFOR is guaranteed for security in Kosovo, while his only partner is the Serbian Army.
Laura Cooper from the US, has stressed that military co-operation between the two countries is highly developed.
