The Kachanic municipality has initiated procedures for selecting local mayors and councils of villages and urban neighbourhoods, while such a decision has been adopted by KK advisers at the latest meeting.
Municipal officials have said that in two months they will complete elections in 33 municipalities, arguing that the mandate of village councils has expired several months ago.
Besim Ilazi, chairman of the Kachanic municipality, has said that the start of this process is envisioned by the commission, which was founded by the Assembly of Komuna with the Komuna executive proposal.
