On October 25, 2018, Lulzim Dragusha received a regular employment contract from the Central Bank of Kosovo, KTV reports.
Dragusha, who is husband of MP Evgeni Thaci, the daughter of the president's older brother, Ghaniu, in this institution is a senior official in co-ordination with financial institutions regulators.
“Kohavision” has asked the Central Bank for this employment and if the president has used his authority.
But this institution has been argued that twice it has declared a competition for this position, and in both contests it has met only Dragusha, who, according to the CQK, has adequate schooling for this position.
The first “competition announced on September 28th 2018 has been cancelled on the part of the CEC, because only one candidate has met the specific requirements. In the second re-declared competition with October 25th 2018, among the candidates who have met the contest's demands, following written testing and oral interviews, the professional commission has estimated that candidate Lulzim Dragusha has been the most successful candidate in the recruiting process. The employee, has relevant field education, as well as local and international work experience, starting with being assistant professor at the University of North Eastern Illinois. (North Istern Illinois), U.S.A., in various corporations in the US and other local institutions”, it is said among other things in BQC's response.
Pos Dragusha, even a family of the president is employed in the CEC.
It's Albana Thaci from the village of Buroja, a close relative of the president. The one at the end of 2018 was hired as an admission official.
Even for this, the Central Bank says regular employment procedures were followed.
Not only has the president employed family at the CEC, even his wife Luminije Thaci employs his grandson, Alban Gerjaliu, in this financial institution.
Years ago, he was appointed official for European Integration in BQK.
KTV sources have announced, that the First Lady had personally gone to the office, former BQC governor, now Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, for the meeting.
“Kohavision” has tried to contact Finance Minister Hamza, but the latter has not responded to the phone since it is abroad.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank has announced that Gerjaliu was employed at the end of 2015. Even in the case of First Lady's nephew, the BQK says he was the best.
“Alban Gerjaliu has met the demands of the contest of 22.12.2015 and has submitted to the recruiting process, that is, the writing test and the interview before the commission for assessment. After completing the process of recruiting, the Commission has estimated that candidate Alban Gerjaliu has achieved the highest number of points from writing and interviews, so he has been chosen as the most successful candidate in the recruiting process”, the BQK's response reported.
In the end, the Central Bank of Kosovo has indicated that in all three processes of undermentioned recruiting, the CEC has not accepted any complaints from candidates who have been involved in the competition processes for all three positions in question.
The Central Bank is also used by other ruling and opposition parties for important positions, for which KTV will report during the week.
