The tax ideal insists every day that it be suspended: Do not block dialogue

Even the damage inflicted on Serbia for this period is over 150m euros, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said.

Hoxhaj says that with the introduction of the tax Kosovo has given Serbia full answers, it is an independent and sovereign state.

But the third man in Government says the tax should be suspended in order to prevent reports with America and the EU.

“I think the tax has achieved its effect since the tax has hit Serbia's economy, when we're talking about the damage of the Serbian economy is over 150m euros, and if Serbia has made efforts to use Kosovo's budget to attract recognition, but corrupt different governments in the world. I think that by this we have given a complete answer to Serbia”.

The dialogue must continue, Hoxhaj says, because Kosovo must complete the statehood. He insists that the blockade of dialogue and the failure of dialogue is not in the interest of Kosovo.

I think it's above all in the interest of Kosovo, but also Serbia's that we continue dialogue not to block dialogue so that we can get mutual recognition and achieve Kosovo's membership in the UN. So after 11 years of independence after 20 years of freedom, we can complete our state-building”.

“Dialog is not a popular topic in Kosovo, of course Kosovo citizens know what Serbia's policy has been and what is Serbia's policy in reporting with Kosovo. Of course, Serbia continues with its hostile policy, but I think we have to overcome our shadow we need to see what our long-term goals are and I see dialogue as an important instrument to ensure recognition of Kosovo and membership of Kosovo at UN”.

Hoxhaj says that in July of this year Kosovars will make the positive decision on visa liberalisation from the EU.

But Hoxhaj says the EU has not been fair with Kosovo, because it has not been rewarded for the work done, reports Online Economy.

” Visa liberalisation and obtaining candidate status are two different things. I expect that in the summer of 2019 there will be a positive decision on the part of the European Council on the basis of liberalisation. We have met all possible standards and the standards we have met are double the standards that the countries of the region have met, and I believe that after the elections, which will be held for European Parliament in May of this year, in June eventually, a positive decision should be made on the basis of visa liberalisation”.

“As long as the EU has not dealt with Kosovo as long as the EU has not been fair with Kosovo and we have not been rewarded for the work we have done believe these are the things we told it in 2018, I think that in 2019 there will be good news”.
The status of membership candidate, according to the third deputy prime minister in the Government of Kosovo, depended on the implementation of the SAA.

According to him, institutions should work on meeting the agenda so that it can apply to candidate country status, EO reports.

“While gaining candidate status will depend much on how much we can implement the SAA. We've had a reform agenda called ERA 1 which is in fulfillment and I believe we will soon have the second package of this reference and then after we have met these criteria we will have to apply for candidate status”.

Whatever it takes to keep in mind is that our internal reforms and our movement in relation to the European agenda is time movement and space movement, so we have to do our utmost to actually meet these” goals.
