Tahiri: Mogher has betrayed European principles

It has stated that Brussels' dialogue between the two states must be hosted by the new European Union leader.

In this interview given to the newspaper “The new era”, Tahiri, has accused EU foreign policy chief Federica Moghrini of betraying European principles.

Our position as Kosovo should be not to have an agreement at this time. So let's wait for Moghrin to go, who has betrayed European principles and expect changes in EU leadership. We hope a leadership will come that protects the European principles of the integration of six Western Balkan countries into the EU, as confirmed by the EU's recent enlargement strategy”, Tahiri has said.

He has invited Kosovo government not to remove the tax on Serbian goods. According to her, this tax is the only mechanism that is protecting the borders of the Republic of Kosovo.

“/Taxa is currently the only mechanism that kills the idea of changing borders. In other words, it protects the borders of the state of Kosovo because, as we all saw, the Kosovo Assembly failed to create a unified position of the political spectrum on a platform. So the platform was voted only by the political subjects that are in power and the PSD”, Tahiri has indicated.

First, according to her, institutional leaders should see national interest and then reports with internationals.

And it always needs to be seen if reports are being shaken with your people, because devilish border games have shaken the reports of some leaders with the Albanian people. “: Lady Tahiri, rumours have recently been added within the government that think the tax on Serbian goods is blocking a possible agreement with Serbia. How have you seen these attitudes?
Tahiri: These estimates come from those who are unable to understand the danger in which Kosovo is located within Brussels' dialogue. The tax is currently the only mechanism that kills the idea of changing borders. In other words, it protects the borders of the state of Kosovo because, as we all saw, the Kosovo Assembly failed to create a unified position of the political spectrum on a platform. So the platform was voted only by political subjects that are in power and the PSD. In this way the tax is what is delaying this dialogue. My opinion is that this dialogue should be delayed until Mogher and her entire team, which violated European principles, open the possibility of discussing the topic of borders, which is dangerous not only for the national interests of Kosovo and Albanians but for stability in the Balkans. Touching borders is not at peace but at war. This would reverse old hostilities and jeopardise the entire Balkans getting involved in this situation.

“ Does this mean that to continue the Brussels dialogue, Kosovo must host the new EU leadership after elections expected to be held in the spring?
Tahiri: I cannot speak on behalf of the government, but I can speak as former chief negotiator. From my knowledge to international relations I can say that this is not the right time to make dialogue, because we've had diabolical, secret games, of already known Thaci Three. - Vuciq-Rama on this case. But, as it is known, these games remain without support, because once again the people of Kosovo indicated that no one can work behind their backs or against their will. I'm saying this as one of the founders of this state of Kosovo that I've been fighting 30 years for this dream.

“ However, is it a general conclusion that the tax has shaken Kosovo's reports with the West?
Tahiri: First of all, it should always be seen whether reports are being shaken with your people, because diabolical border games have shaken the reports of some leaders with the Albanian people. “ Does Kosovo have the luxury that because of the tax it has sacrificed reports with its main allies, with whose help it has reached here?
Tahiri: I'm saying that always the international factor when you see the unity, the will and the history of our people, you always know what right is. As individuals who rush into such games or do not know where the process is going, they have decided otherwise. I repeat, national interest must first be seen, then work on the international factor to respect our national interest, as has been respected even in the most difficult times, when no one knew Kosovo. When I went to diplomacy as former foreign minister in the 1990s no one in diplomacy knew where Kosovo is. But, now we are an independent state, with strong recognition and should not allow in the name of recognition by Serbia to give Kosovo's north. That recognition and dialogue we don't need at all if it leads to a process against national interests.

“ On the other hand, we have the prime minister of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj, who claims that by means of the tax, he will receive recognition from Serbia. See that as possible?
Tahiri: This is simplified as an analysis. It's not that simple. After that, this could have been achieved earlier. Our fight now is to protect the borders so we can let Serbia and Vucinqi know that Kosovo's borders are immune. Their dream of taking advantage of it further “Likewise, Russia's games to return to the Balkans with geopolitical powers at the expense of Albanian lands will not happen again. So I appeal for political subjects to achieve unity. I do not expect this unity to reach 100 percent, but political forces that recognise national interest and are in defense of borders must unite.

“ What are the odds that during this year we will have final Kosovo agreements ?
