Selimi has said that he and his group of soldiers have been unable to help the Jashari family, because their village has been surrounded by Serb military.
He says he has been one of the most organised attacks of the Serbian Army, as they are placed in a position that has not allowed anyone to approach the Jasara Towers to come to their aid.
On the other hand, Selimi has said that on March 5th, he and a group of soldiers had fought from morning to late hours with Serb militants trying to enter their village.
I didn't try to get there because Serbian forces attacked me too. On March 5, we were also attacked in the village. They came from Cline and were positioned near the village by the Serb forces at a carblint factory, as they played it. On March 5th morning, how we got information that they're going to Prekaz we're out, but at the first moment, we've faced them and we've fought until evening to keep them from getting into the village. We didn't leave them to enter the village. The ammunition factory and the house of Adam have been very close, and the Serbian Army has created such proximity that it has managed to get closer to”, Selimi said in the debate plus on Tv Dukajni./ P ERISCOPIA
