Slovenian President Shows What He Expects of Kosovo Dialogue

Republika Slovenia's president, Borut Pahor, says he does not support the idea of changing borders between Kosovo and Serbia. The head of the Slovenian state made this statement Monday in Tirana, during a visit he is holding at the invitation of Albanian President Ilir Meta. “I'm not supportive of changing [...]
I am not supportive of changing borders to meet national criteria. It is necessary corrections for the two states to have more co-operation as well as mutual recognition of respect”, Pahor said in Tirana on Monday.
While Albania's president, Ilir Meta, said he supported the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, but added that this issue is Kosovo's responsibility and Albania should avoid any intervention.
Albania supports the independent state of Kosovo. The question of dialogue is the responsibility that belongs to Kosovo leaders, and any intervention by us would be disrespectful to Kosovo's independent institutions. I support dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia as the only way to strengthen relations between them. Since the Balkan criminal was voted down by the Serbian people and Albania's relationship with Serbia have been good and we will continue to work to strengthen these bilateral reports, thinking that this also helps in the dialogue with Kosovo, but never takes over to represent Kosovo on issues she has with Serbia”, Meta said.
