According to the publication in the Official Library, Ersilio Bujar Nishani has left his native citizenship in this year's March 18th decree, a decree bearing President Ilir Meta's firm.
Among the 9 people who have decided to abandon Albanian citizenship is also the son of former President Nishani. The motives that have led Erslio Nishani to make such a decision are still unknown.
The son of the former president lives in Austria, where he continues his studies.
