The investigation took over more than 1,000 adults, who were asked to show their food preferences.
The participants then received a series of personality tests that valued anti - social personality traits, such as Sadism, narcism, and psychosis.
The study, conducted by researchers at Innsbrock University, revealed that the preference for bitter taste was linked to psychosical behavior.
The closest connection was between bitter food and daily “sadism” means joy causing moderate levels of pain to others.
The alarm was not issued only for those who preferred black coffee to the study also found that participants who reported love for celery and tonic water were also more likely to display antisocial traits.
This is not the first research that has found a link between taste and personality.
Previous studies have shown that sweet taste experiences increase credibility, while experiences of bitter taste increase hostility and make stronger moral judgments.
