The Parliamentary Committee on Stabilisation and Association has called on Kosovo to remove the tax.

At a session held in Strasbourg, the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee has called on Kosovo to remove the tax on Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible, broadcast news.

Serbian European Integration Minister Jardanka Joksimovic has made that known.

According to her, the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue deadlock has also been discussed at this session because of the introduction of this tax.

As writes “B92”, broadcasts news.net, Joksimovic, has said this Committee has welcomed Serbia's continued commitment to dialogue and normalisation of relations with Kosovo.

This session has also discussed the current political situation in which Serbia is located.

Meanwhile, according to her, the Parliamentary Committee approved the text of the declaration agreed on between the parliamentary delegations of Serbia and the European Parliament, and Serbia's progress in EU accession negotiations, the state of relations between Serbia and the EU, and the situation regarding dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, broadcast the news further.net.

Joksimovic has said that, the declaration and approved recommendations welcomed Serbia's progress in the accession negotiations and expressed support for its membership prospects in 2025, with continuing efforts to implement reforms.

In these documents, the importance of the enlargement process is stressed, and the European Union is invited to remain engaged in enlargement policy.

She added that the Council of Europe and the Council of the European Union has been asked to support the opening of technically prepared chapters, and Serbia seeks to continue to achieve concrete and sustainable progress in rule chapters (23 and 24) and the process of normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina (35).
