Osman answers Haradinaj to the games of fate: As soon as you blame LDK, look at yourself in the mirror

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Naser Osmani has countered Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's current statement that he does not know why those before him in power had not shut down their fortunes, but asked his government to do so. Osman, in a statement given to Periscope, has said the Law [...]
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, at a news conference after the government's meeting, said they have received a visit to close the game of fate, besides Kosovo Lottari.
While answering journalists' questions, Haradinaj said he does not know why those who were in power have not closed their fortune games, but asked his government to do so.
In this, Haradinaj alludes to the Democratic League of Kosovo, the deputies of which initiated parliamentary debate in the Assembly and adopted the resolution for their closure.
Periscope has contacted LDK deputy Naser Osman, who was one of the most vocal deputies at the extraordinary session to close these fortune games.
Osmani has reminded Haradinaj that during the LDK's rule, initiatives were under way to regulate the fate-game businesses.
He says the law was implemented during that time, thanks to government actions.
“There was also an attempt in 2014, when I was chairman of the Commission for Boards and Finances from the LDK's ranks of law enforcement and at that time about 457 local lucky games were closed and law enforcement order was imposed by companies that have applied for permission for lucky games. From the moment this government came, it has begun to dramatically increase the number of local games, and it has begun to violate legal criteria and has come to an extent of the abuse that occurred. Beyond the assassination, I don't know what else needs to happen for a prime minister to take a step and make a decision, given the will of deputies”, Osmani has said of Periscope.
He has, in turn, cited some of the reasons he says have influenced the growth of these businesses during Haradinaj's rule.
“I don't know why these games have been added to the presence of Haradinaj Government. It could also be the closure of such games in Albania, and those businesses have found space in Kosovo. After all, the government and the prime minister with its development programme have cited youth employment as the trigger for its policies on stimulating these businesses. And when a Government tries to push economic development through the games of fate and bookies, then I don't have a comment”, Osman added.
He has also said that the Law for the Fate Games is a good law, but unfortunately not implemented.
The Law on Game of Fate is a good law, but it has not been implemented, whether in the absence of capacities of our institutions with the practice of law practice or because policy map proposals are taken by persons who have defended the event. The law has been good, but it has been abused to the critical point that it has ended up in murder. Whoever took the initiative was good. And in fact, the initiative was undertaken by the mayor of the Suhareka municipality, which is exactly from the ranks of the prime minister's party. It's civic initiative, not politics. We've supported it, based on the support of citizens”, Osman said away.
He has said Haradinaj attacks the LDK now for political rivalries, but that he actually wanted to look himself in the mirror on the issue.
He blames us for political rivalry. He's in position, we're opposition. He cannot criticize himself even though he had to look into the mirror on this matter, not criticize us. If our move to close them hadn't been reasonable, then the prime minister rushed to take the shit and shut it down. It could change the law. But you're in a hurry, due to your social degradation” has told Osmani Periscope.
Meanwhile, on the day of holding the extraordinary session, LDK deputy Naser Osmani had declared in the country that the games of fate have increased the number of divorces, as well as negatively affected the breakdown of reports among brothers.
This is about family. After the research we have done, taken by the police and the Court, it turns out that the games of fate are the biggest cause of divorce in Kosovo. They are the biggest problem in domestic confusion, even among brothers, various debts, blackmail to return those debts. What needs to be highlighted with the emphasis that the trend of increasing the games of fate in recent months stems from Albania's decision to close them, and now they have begun to flourish in villages as well as”, Osmani had said in his speech at the session.
A few days ago, by majority of votes, the Kosovo Assembly has adopted the resolution, which will ban casino and fortune-game activity on Kosovo territory.
With 74 votes, no abstention and no counter, the resolution was adopted in an extraordinary session.
This initiative came from the opposition, led by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), following two murders that occurred in two casinos, in two different Kosovo cities. Where casino workers suffered in both cases. / P ERISCOPIA
