While participants were immersed in water, the flow of blood in the middle arteries increased by 14%, while the flow of blood in the back cerebral arteries increased by 9%.
Carter says: “Like field exercise, different types of water activities, such as gymnastics and swimming, have slightly different effects on heart function and brain circulation.” Moreover, swimming can improve your mental well - being.
