Myspace, one of the first social networks, has apologised after a server problem caused a major loss of data that had been stored for 12 years.
The message on their website says that “any photos, videos and audio” loaded three years ago cannot be available anymore.
In fact, complaints by users had long begun.
This social platform is lagging in comparison with the number of users, but in 2003 when it was also created, it attracted millions of users.
In 2006 it was the most visited page in America, passing Google.
Myspace is a space to distribute music as well as to help young artists promote themselves.
