Malisheva Mountains Burn in Danger

There is no shortage of activism to protect nature. During this Sunday dozens of Panortz villagers have gathered to extinguish this fire, from which many homes are at risk. Police and firefighters say they could not arrive at the scene.

Egzon Candman is just one of many residents of Malisheva's Panortz who were able this Sunday to extinguish the fire that has hit the mountains of this village for two weeks now.

The T7 beater has shown that so far none of the institutions, including the Police and Firemen, have come to their aid.

He has even shown that this is not the first time this mountain is on fire.

The same had happened ten years earlier.

But someone who has a house too close to this fire has shown fear.

He also remembers the danger of ten years ago.

Although not in front of the camera, residents have mentioned that the main suspicion of fire lighting is in shepherds who feed their livestock in this area.

Kosovo police have argued that their teams have been unable to cross into the fire.

According to the police commander in Malisheva, Haziri Berisha, just like the police, the fire departments have failed to reach the burning area because the terrain has been inadequate.
