This marathon, which is held for the first time in Hyvali, included the race for children on a 500 - foot [500 m] trail and increasing on the five - mile [5 km] trail.
The organiser of this mini-maratone, Burim Krasniqi, said this marathon has socialistic character rather than competitors.
The more socialization is to commemorate the 20th jubilee anniversary of the start of NATO bombings in Kosovo, which is with the motto "Vrapo at peace, to remember Kosovo's freedom... We were more likely to symbolize it with young people who are especially born after the war, who haven't had the fate or were children, to commemorate the grand day for the beginning of Kosovo's freedom, which we have waited for for for for for for centuries”, he said.
According to him, this is just the beginning, since such arrangements are expected for other years.
Runner Egzana Gashi, who took second place in the women's 5km race category, said he welcomes similar organisations at other times.
It was a very good organization. We decided to participate in this organization so that we could win, and we managed to make it”, she said.
Faithful Shababiu from “Let's do it Kosovo” was pleased with the organisation of the mini marathon in Hyvali, the aunt said that it has also been a pleasure for the organisation to join this activity within other activities for marking this day.
It's definitely been a very good atmosphere and let's do it. It's had the pleasure to join the activities, this marathon in honour of March 24th, given that this is a very special day for our country... Organizing has been a very good dirty little for us who do not usually deal with such activities. However, it was worth it, a five-mile run, we got a little tired, but everything went well”, he said.
Otherwise, mini marathon “Vrapo at peace” is dedicated to 24 March, the day NATO bombings against Serbian forces opened the way for Kosovo independence.
