Edmond Hoxha fell heroicly on January 31, 1997, along with Zahir Pajazit and Hakif Zamenu in Pestovo, Vushtrri.

Touched by news of the passing of Nurije's mother, Kosovo Hero's mother, Edmund Hoxhaj, the first-day KLA fighter. A noble, generous mother who was born, raised, and educated a valiant warrior of freedom like Edmond deserves our eternal respect. Genuine condolences to the Hoxhaj family and all those who knew Nurije Mother very closely. May it rest in the land of Kosovo.
