O'Rourke, in this election, has lost to Republican senator Ted Cruz.

Former US Vice President Joe Biden, 76, has not yet announced such a goal, but many observers expect him to compete.
The current president, Donald Trump, from the Republican Party, is expected to compete for the second term, even though he has not yet officially announced.
