Citaku: Haradinaj is my prime minister, I continue to work on preserving Kosovo reports

Good afternoon from Washington, this morning I woke up at the sound of the hundreds of messages that constantly spit on my phone. I just got a little upset. When you live abroad and away from family, your mind always goes to the worst.

It's completely unprecedented for an ambassador on duty to fight with his prime minister. Of course I never will. We must build culture of institutional communication. Of course, I'm not perfect. There is no word that I have both a lack of human and a degree. But never, ever in my life, have I worked and worked against the interests of my country and my nation. I've been in public life for 20 years now.

I've never done anything for personal or material gain. Today after 20 years, I have a 50 square meters flat and 6,000 euros in bank savings. I'm not and I'll never be blackmailed. My thoughts are open and fearless. It is not my fault that there is no political consensus on important topics in Kosovo. But I have never given malicious advice in my life and never spoke out of my mandate. I've never sent out conflicting and selective information. I am proud that thanks to our joint engagement, during my mandate here in the United States, we have received support for transforming KSF into the military.

. It's been a long job over two years, and they're all documented. And I'm also glad that during this period we've advanced the MCC report and we're among the few countries not only that it hasn't interrupted, but that financial assistance has increased from the United States.

I have done and will continue to do everything in my power to save and cultivate the report between Kosovo and the United States. Even these days, while we're going through a bad time in our report, I've worked and will continue working to avoid any structural damage in our relations. I'd like to be as powerful as some people are alluding, and decide and dictate American politics. I assure you, if I had that power, some things would be different.
