He has said in KTV's interactive that the agency he runs, in terms of nepotism and family employment, deals with the aspect of conflict of interest.
“The AKK in this case deals with the aspect of the conflict of interest. These situations have been accomplished and cannot be prevented. We have more to do with the exercise of political influence, but in terms of prevention and conflict of interest we've been dealing with and we're dealing with a large number of cases in public institutions and we've regularly notified”, he said when he was asked about recent reports of nepotism in some public institutions.
As far as statistics are concerned, he has said the AKK has initiated many cases for a year.
We have a large number of cases that we have prevented in the area of conflict of interest. For a year the agency has initiated over 100 cases. I'm telling him exactly because we're going out with the final report. Over 100 cases mainly of conflict of interest. 31 cases were forced to avoid, 19 ended without conflict, 56 cases offered to them counsel, opinions. During the past year, and during this year we have large numbers of initiatives in the conflict of interest of senior officials”, he added.
Speaking of the opinion he had given The AKK in the case of a salary hike by the Haradinaj government, Havolli has said the case has now gone to the Prosecutor and the AKK cannot address this topic more.
“has since been violated in case of salary growth. The entire file is passed to the prosecutor with our opinion. They're handling the case and if opinions are needed we can offer. They've delivered criminal charges, it's a step of opportunity and we don't have the right to handle this any more. The prosecution has initiated criminal speculation while the entire file that was requested has been offered to them. I'm sure additional information will be requested and we're willing to offer what's required”, Havoli further said.
He has said any beacons that are at risk should be reported to the Anti-Corruption Agency.
