Police sources said two members of the organisation were arrested at the Kakajda border checkpoint, while trying to flee towards Albania after they had previously been informed of the organisation's arrest and other parts in the Athens district of Egaleo.
Police say the roles and duties of the organisation's members were defined from the supply, to the transport and distribution of drug quantities, which came through Albania, and to the distribution of it to small retailers in the Hellenic capital's narcotics pool.
In the quality of the material evidence, the amount of 21kg of pure heroin was seized, and small quantities of cannabis and cocaine.
Those arrested will be sent to court for a measure of security Saturday morning.
