The early 20s and late ones are the most beautiful time in human life. You're young and full of energy but at the same time maturer and smarter than two years ago. This period of life is also important for the decisions you make at the age of 20 and the path you will follow to the future.
These are some decisions that change the course of life that you have to make if you want to have a happy, meaningful life:
1. Place Your Purposes in Life
In the late 20s, you begin to understand what is most important to you and the path that unfolds before you towards your goals.
Different people are meant to have different roles in life and you have to find your role. Some people have a successful career, others are destined to be very good parents, and some people live to make the world a better place.
Whatever your priority in life, it's time to focus on the latter and devote more time and energy to things that really matter to you before it's too late. It's a shame when at a certain moment people are hearing “and realize that they have the most important things in their lives.
2. Leave the job you hate so much and deal with what you really like
Our educational system forces us to make major decisions about our career at a very early age. No wonder the subjects you studied when you were 18, are not the ones that interview you. As a result of such poor decisions about life, many people end up hating their hard work, boring colleagues, demanding boss, and stressed out with their lives in general.
But it is never too late to change your career, and that would be the best way to avoid living a life full of repentance. Now that you are still young, it is even easier to change your daily routine and adjust to a new work environment.
Of course, you still don't know which job suits you better and which makes you happier.
Early memories can help you in this regard ask yourself these questions: What did you like to do when you were a kid? What did you want to be when you grew up? What were your hobbies and talents?
3. Draw out of your life people and things you dislike
It doesn't matter what the hell it is... whether it's a relationship, a lifestyle, a habit or a job if it doesn't make you happy, let it go.
As the years go by, you realize there's no point in spending time on people and things that don't give you happiness. Do you associate with negative, boring people? Do you waste your time on things that do not please you? It's time to give up what other people want to do and start listening to yourself.
When you have to meet a relative/colleague friend and that seems like a social obligation more than a sincere desire to communicate, then this person seems to have no place in your life.
Of course, this is even harder when it comes to the people you work with, but you always have to limit your communication with negative people on professional subjects.
4. Take Care of Your Health
Now that you're still young, you feel good and maybe you don't have health problems. However, anything that comes into contact with your body now... the food you consume, the hygiene of the products you use... the air that will inevitably affect your health after a few years. Just think of how much poisons consume daily through poor quality foods, toxic substances, and contaminated air.
You don't have much to do with changing your environment, but you can make some healthy choices in your choice of food and lifestyle. Some of the many ways to do this is to buy organic fruits and vegetables, quit smoking, use natural cosmetics, and toilet products, make physical noises. Choose a healthy life now, and after a few years you will thank yourself.
5. Accept Yourself as You Are
You want to be someone else is an abuse of the man you are.” ~ Kurt Cobain
Massive culture and social stereos create different patterns of behavior, thoughts, personalities and physical presentations that most people want to adopt. That is why most children and teenagers want to be someone else, as much as I can imitate their idols, be they a real person or an imaginary character. Those who do not want to become part of these common standards are often rejected by society.
However, the truth is that you will never be happy and fulfilled if you crush your personality and follow someone else's dreams. Don't force yourself to be someone else just because others like this “type” man. You will achieve inner harmony and happiness only if you are honest with yourself.
The late 20s are the right time to understand what you really are and your mission in life. So learn to listen to yourself and make the right choices now, if you want to live a happy, meaningful life.
