The state news agency has reported that Royal Police have pressed charges against three others who have offended Islam and the prophet Muhammad. The court's decision on them is expected to be made during the coming days.
Two other social media users have denied the charges brought against them, but they will be held in custody until 5 April, when the decision is made for them.
These persons are accused by authorities of criminalising harmony on the basis of religion, encouraging attitudes towards the community and improper use of internet services.
The police have received 929 reports of such violations across the country and have launched investigations of 16 cases involving insults against Islam”, said police inspector-general Mohammed Fuzi, “CNN.
