Wessel for Northern Macedonia in NATO: Kosovo soon

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has welcomed the signing of the North Macedonia membership protocol in NATO.

Chief Parliamentary Wessel values that expansion NATO with Balkan countries is a very important and constructive process that strengthens peace and stability and consolidates freedom and democracy for the entire Balkans.

Wessel has written on his Facebook page that Kosovo, in the near future, will become part of NATO. The signing of the NATO membership protocol by the friendly state of Northern Macedonia is a welcome event, not just for our neighbours, but for the entire region. I am especially happy for our associates in this country, who have played a key role in Euro-Atlantic integration efforts. Kosovo looks enthusiastically at North Macedonia's membership in NATO, hoping to follow the same example in the nearest future. We see NATO enlargement in our region as a very important and constructive process that strengthens peace and stability and consolidates freedom and democracy for the entire Balkans”, Wessel has written on his Facebook page.
