Vuciq: I threatened to destroy my political career if I would accept Kosovo's UN membership

Today, Serbia's president has shown that he has been pressured to accept the membership of the United Nations Republic of Kosovo in 2013, but says he has not been able to accept this because he was threatened with political career destruction.

These statements he made during a visit to Leskovac, until he presented his campaign to Serbia's future, writes ãovosti.

During this visit, he has also spoken of reaching a final agreement between Pristina and Belgrade, however, he says that one cannot be talked about as long as Kosovo continues to hold the tax decision.

It also says there cannot be a solution until Kosovo fulfills the obligations made by the Brussels Agreement for the establishment of the majority Serbian Commission Association.

We tell Albanians that we want peace and seek compromise. But we can't talk about a compromise until they continue with anti-civilising tariffs, and if they don't meet the establishment of the Serbian municipalities' Association. They prove every day we're close to the deal, but I know how far we're from it. This is their game, and if one day we don't have a deal, then we can't blame Serbs”, he said.
