In an effort to raise demand in an explosion smartphone market, Samsung has introduced his folded pattern, becoming one of the first major producers to offer it.
South Korean giant also tried to precede rivals by announcing the first camera for the fifth generation, or the wireless 5G networks.
The Galaxy Folk, presented at a event in San Francisco, serves as a smartphone with his 4.6 inch screen and when it opens, it becomes a tablet, with 7.3 inch screens.
“Each screen works perfectly, but we're dealing with more than two separate screens, we're dealing with a single device. These screens also work together to give you a unique experience”, said Justin Denison, representative of Samsung.
Galaxy Fold will be available on April 26th, starting at a price of 1980. His launch comes at a time when the smartphone market is not in its best days with consumers holding their devices longer and waiting for new innovations.
Samsung made the promotion at the home of his rival Apple, while both giants face a market peak. Earlier this year, a Chinese company introduced Royole, claiming he was the first folded smartphone to be held in his pocket but also turned into a normal tablet, which is on the market in China and the U.S. and costs about $1300.
