Official: Armand Duka elected member of U Executive Committee EFA

A year ago, Duka won the strongest race for the post of FSHF president in the face of a rival who openly described him as supporting the government, while today the FSHF crust secured a mandate on the U.S. Executive Committee. EFA securing 36 votes out of 55 possible.

Duka ran against 8 opponents for 7 seats in the Executive Committee, after Kazakhstan's Boranbayev had decided to withdraw his candidacy the day before Congress. The leader of the FSHF was ranked 6th on the basis of votes.

What are the duties and responsibilities of an Executive Committee member in UEFA?

Executive Committee U n EFA is the supreme executive body of UEFA. Made by the President UEFA and 16 other members, of whom at least one female, is elected by Congress UEFA, two members are elected by the European Club Association (ECA) and a member elected by the European League, ratified by Congress, all with the same rights and duties as all other members of the Executive Committee.

Members and Vice Presidents

The Executive Committee cannot have more than one member from a federation that is a UEFA member. This rule does not apply to female members or to members of the Executive Committee elected by ECA and European Prague.

Each member of the Executive Committee, except the president and members of the female gender, has an active role (such as president, vice president, secretary - general, or delegate) in the Federation of Respects. The Executive Committee elects a first vice president, four other vice president from UEFA president's proposals. The president can give specific functions to any vice president.

During Term

The mandate of the president and members of the Convention-elect Executive Committee has a four-year duration. Eight members and the president are elected every two years. The extension of the mandate of the two members of the ECA-elected Executive Committee and the European League is four years old. No one can be president or member of the Executive Committee more than three mandates, as in a row but divided. Members over 70 years of age cannot be chosen.

If a country is left vacant, a replacement member is elected at the usual next Congress until the end of the outgoing one's term. If the country is left vacant during the last year of the mandate, no substitute members are elected. The mandate of president and members of the Executive Committee begins with the closure of the convention at which the replacements are elected and concluded at the conclusion of the convention.

Power

The Executive Committee may adopt rules and decisions on all issues that have nothing to do with legal or statuteial jurisdiction of the U Congress EFA or another organ. The EC manages UEFA, except in cases where such activities have been delegated, or some management tasks have been delegated to the UEFA President's Statistics EFA or Administration U n EFA.
