Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi has signed memorandums on the basis of classification to finance Judo Federation athletes and coach Driton Kuka.
Minister Gashi said achieving such a memorandum of co-operation, for the government and the state, is the least they can do for them, as the minister appointed them to be proud every weekend of the Albanian nation.
“It is our duty as a state to stand next to this magnificent team”, he said.
Citing Majlinda Kelmendi's recent successes, he said it is making all citizens proud and must financially support him and other athletes.
Gashi called on the mayor of the Peja municipality to present the location for construction of the Judo gym.
While coach Driton Kuka had praise for the minister, who, according to Gashi's arrival at the helm of the MKRS, has generally moved far ahead.
“The sport before your arrival has been moving slowly, while as you arrive it has gone at a faster pace, especially about your recent actions about classification are something extraordinary”, he said.
The coach, Kuka, among other things, announced that they are preparing for this year's Olympics.
Judyer, Majlinda Kelmendi, however, said that by means of this memorandum, they will feel more secure, since they will have the support of the state.
