Minister Luka admits he knows nothing about the agreement Telekom signed with a company

Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka at “Express Interview” in KTV has stated that he does not know what the confidential agreement contains between the Telekom management and the company “Artierry One” interested in the privatisation of Telekom. It is reported that through this agreement the company has been offered access to Telekom data. “We don't know [...]
It is reported that through this agreement the company has been offered access to Telekom data.
We don't know the content of that agreement. It's signed through management, and we can't get into statements whether it's a violation or not. We will request a report, according to this portal, about access to data that in the future it will compete for the privatisation of Telekom”, Luka has said.
He shows that this company's bid run M ZHE for access to Telekom data was denied.
It's not my job to filter companies. At this moment at the meeting they have requested information on potential investment in Telekom. As the meeting is over, an expression of interest has come from this company that has requested exclusive access for six months and this demand has been denied. We've told them that besides public data we can give further data”, Luka said.
He adds that other interested companies have been told that they will be informed through further procedures.
Lu Lukaa insists that she does not know the contents of the agreement, however, says she has sought accounts from the board and the Telekom management.
We have no information about what happened, and for us it's important that the procedures on our part have been followed. I don't have a comment and I don't know the content of the agreement, but for everything we're going to ask accounts from the management board”, Luka said.
According to him, privatisation is the only form to save Telekom.
But before we do that, we want to restructure it to increase value. 25m euros will be invested in technology”, Luka has said, which according to him has a possibility that the privatisation of Telekom will not happen.
It is not necessary to go to privatisation. If offers are not good, then we will withdraw from the idea of privatisation”, he said.
Furthermore, he has talked about employment that has recently been made in Telekom.
I've asked for accounts to see why all these jobs are being made. Now we're waiting for a report to justify these employment, and it fits the board's plan. Justification, I still didn't get it official, was that it was made at opening new selling points. If time shows that if this has affected the growth of Telekom's revenues, then everything will be fine”, he said.
He added that, “as Government, we are responsible only for ownership, not for daily operations for public enterprises. The new law envisions the creation of a larger-weight agency in public enterprises”.
