Avdullah Hoti from the LDK, who has also been finance minister, has reacted to the separation of 180 thousand euros the Government of Kosovo has made from state reserves for a movie.
He does not give himself the right to assess the importance of the film, but says the Kosovo Cinematographic Centre exists on the issue.
It's about what happened to the Ministry of Culture, about the implementation of the art film, the Kosovo production- USA. Which, for that, has required financial means worth 180 thousand euros.
Complete Hoti Post:
On February 12th, 2019, the PAN government allocates 180 thousand euros from state reserves for a movie. I don't give myself the right to appreciate the importance of this movie. It can be important to document the bitter past of the people of Kosovo.
But, there is a Kosovo Cinematographic Centre that under law “is the central public institution for cinematography aimed at implementing cinematic policies for public interest, and each year organises calls for subsidisation of film projects. ”
At the Government meeting, they were apparently unaware of this decision, nor the Minister of Culture who was present.
The Law on Public Finance clearly defines cases of separation from reserves.
Judge for yourself what they say about spending the budget.
