Hahn Moghrin with fierce criticism of opposition in Albania

They have reconfirmed the right of citizens to stage peaceful protests.
During this week, the Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) have resigned from their parliamentary posts, accusing Edi Rama of manipulation of elections in 2017.
This decision by the two parties was criticised by EU Ambassador to Albania Sorica League, as well as European Parliament Rapporteur for Albania Knut Flekenstein.
While Moghrin and Hahn have stressed that the opposition decision seriously impedes the functioning of Albania's democracy.
“We are also expecting the government and opposition to engage in constructive discussions with the aim of overcoming the current political situation to benefit Albania and its citizens” concludes the statement of two senior EU representatives.
