Gashi, Shala, Lushtaku plead guilty of gun shooting: They were gasy.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Dardan Gashi, Minister of Trade and Industry Endrit Shala, former Skyeraj Mayor Sami Lushtaku and others, have pleaded guilty for gun shooting at Fatmir Limaj's Oade in Malisheva.

After the indictment with the reconciliation of the parties is considered read, Gashi and Shala have pleaded guilty.

Minister Shala has said he did not know that with such an act he was committing criminal acts, since, according to him, the weapon was gasy.

Until, Lushtaku had initially said he would be protected in silence, after the pause he has pleaded guilty, for he said he is doing so because of not extending this judicial process.

The accused, Behar Ammerlah, Fadil Demiri and Sheriff Krasniqi, have also pleaded guilty.

Dardan Gashi's defender, lawyer Arian Koci, has said his client did not know that the use of gas weapons is not allowed.

He has said that his defenses are deeply sorry for what happened and that he has promised that he will no longer repeat such work.

“Since guilty plea has been made, I request from the court that my client enjoy all the vices back by law with the admission of guilt”, Koci said, adding that in this case there is no harm.

Lawyer Myhedin Becker, who defends Minister Andrew Shala, has asked the court to consider that his client has freely pleaded guilty.

The defender of the accused Behar Emrullahu, lawyer Gazmend Sharku, has said his client did not know that the gas gun is in the fire.

The defender of the accused, Sheriff Kastrati, lawyer Zyber Zeka, has also said his client voluntarily admitted guilt.

He has promised the court that he will not commit any other criminal acts and that he shows regret and requires fine sentences for his defense, adding that the limits of the easing of punishment be applied because his client, as he has said, has not known that using gas weapons is a criminal act.

Prosecutor Ismet Tofaj has said he does not object to admitting guilt on the part of the accused, as according to him, such an act has supported material evidence in the subject documents, the Justice Vow reports.

According to him, even during questioning the accused have claimed they did not know that the gas weapon constitutes criminal offence and that the court takes into account easy circumstances during the proclamation of sentence.

Judge Nyazi Morina has then, with a decision, approved the plea on the part of the accused and the court's statement has been scheduled for March 1st 2019, at 2: 00 p.m.
