The Foundation Court in Pristina has assigned the detention measure for a month to Professor Shzen Jakaj, in connection with the case of 16-year-old sexual abuse by Drenasi.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina -- the Randa Crime Department -- has ruled on the request of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina for the appointment of the detention move against US indictees. J because of criminal acts sexual abuse by misusing position, authority or profession from Article 239 par.1 under paragraph 1.3 of KPRK and criminally promoting sexual acts with a false promise of marriage by Article 240 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The court has taken office and indictees to US. JJ has been assigned detention measure since 07.02.2019 until the date 07.03.2019.
There is evidence that the defendant, S. JJ using office or official authority has misused its position, authority, and occupation as a teacher.
The court has found that in terms of the Constitutional Prosecutor's request in Pristina, criteria from Article 187 par.1 subpar.1.2 points 1.2.2 have been met. KPRK's after the US defendant. JE can influence witnesses, and so has the criteria from Article 187 par.1 subpar.1.2 points 1.2.3. KPRK.
The side has a right to complaint against that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeal.
