Local media write that cleaning companies have gone early in the morning to clear the coast of plastic waste reportedly coming from Albania.
Croatian media write that “unfortunately, this is a problem that Dubrovnik and the south of Croatia have faced many years ago”.
Public Cleaning Company Director Marko Iveković commented that dozens of cleaners arrived to collect waste and that more than 25 waste containers had already been collected.
On the eve of one of the most important days in town, the Festival of St. Blaise, this is a problem that should be solved as soon as possible.
